Blessed with friends

Although not all my friends could join me this week for dinner I just wanted to thank all of those that have touched my life and lead me down the pathway. I am blessed to have so many great people in my life.

Sorry - there are a lot of pictures but I haven't figured out how to make a slideshow yet. Any I appoligize for being in all of the pictures as well - okay you know me to well - I am not sorry, for this is my blog anyway!

You guys are the best!

Love from the office

One really ever knows how much they are appreciated on an average day of work until they have a birthday! Walking into a desk of presents, being taken to lunch and taking the day pretty easy - was what makes things worth it - oh ya and the paychecks I receive! I have truly been blessed in my life for the jobs I have had. I am grateful for the blessings I continue to receive. And thanks to Eldon and Karol Lynn - I love flower deliveries at work - and daisies!

A little shout out goes to Emily (Lisa Leon's) daughter - bless her cute little heart she had to pick out my present (watermelon bath scrub and lotion) and this cute little cake had to be decorated just as she wanted it! YOU TOTALLY ROCK!

Bull Ridding or Sky Diving - Living like I was Dying....

So I turned the big 30 and I wanted to make it memorable. I have often thought about sky diving but what happens if the parachute doesn't open or I just can't make myself jump - you do the next best thing!
Trying to get on the bull!

Almost there - falling off face first.

Bound and determined.

Julene can you give me a boost?

Wohoo! Call me rodeo queen!

Has it been 8 seconds?

29 seconds and down for the count!

Hey folks its a lot harder than one might expect - but ever so much fun! Hey at least Tim McGraw would be proud!

Leatherman anyone?

So I came home to the best surprise any girly girl could ask for. I got a phone call from Lauren saying I received a package from Paul and to hurry home! I could not wait - 5 i was out the door and on the road home - walking through the door to this!

1. - Okay how cute and thoughtful are the stamps - he actually said he through a fit at the post office to get them! I love his crazy Disney self!

2. - Can I just say the boy can wrap a package - it seemed like a lifetime for me to get through the brown paper only to find a box that was taped up that had a wrapped gift inside. Paul says that tapping is one of the many talents you receive when working for the government.

3. - How cute is this card and yes folks it plays the mickey mouse club theme! I LOVE IT! - Paul said he found the card 3 months ago - THOUGHTFUL!
4. - My first Leatherman and I love it - it is red - he looked for one in pink but they only had red or blue - so he went with the red - GREAT CHOICE!

So Sunday night Paul and I had this conversation whether or not Disney would let him take in his pocket knife - I told him if he left it in his pocket and didn't pull it out at security he should have no problem. He was just concerned for the case of "I have a string hanging from my shirt and i need to snip it right now" situation. Little did I know he was talking about my gift!

So it came with an adorable card and a note attached that said the following:

Just a little something for the great outdoors...or whatever adventures you may encounter:) Can't wait for Disneyland! Love Paul

P.S. If you want to travel with this it needs to go in checked bags.... TSA will take it if you don't:)

Okay so I never thought I was a leatherman kind of girl but I actually love it, I love the time and effort that was put into this gift!

Watch out world here comes Danneel with her Leatherman - if I only knew how to use it!

Sisters, Pedicures, Manicures, and Cheesecake...

Life couldn't get much better.

This weekend I was able to spend time with the people I love more than life - MY SISTERS. We celebrated Marie's and my birthdays - we figured we would do it in style - with a Temple session Saturday morning - Spanish Speaking - wow was that interesting!

Pedicures and manicures were next on the list - after lunch at Bajio's of coarse - Marie is a BIG FAN of the Green Chile Chicken Salad.

Patti and Timilie went for the manicures while Lauren, Marie and I went for the ever so nice pedicure with cute flowers on the toes .
Of course we had to finish a wonderful day with wonderful food - avocado eggs rolls, soup, grilled cheese sandwich, shrimp and smashed potatoes, shepards pie, and the yummy chicken sun dried tomato pasta - oh wait and dessert! CHEESECAKE!

I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful family - Timilie, Marie and Patti - I love you so much and am grateful for all you have done and continue to do for me. I am grateful FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!

8 Facts and 8 Friends

So this one is for Brandi as she tagged me about a week ago - my life is pretty boring when it comes to facts - but my life is very blessed when it comes to family and friends! ENJOY

1. I love to cook - (I think it comes from Sandra) - although I prefer to cook than bake - I tend to bake every Sunday. You always need something delicious around!

2. I love to clean my house - every Thursday night! Its so I can enjoy the weekend in a peaceful clean house.

3. I hate dishes in the sink. I clean as I cook.

4. I am no longer in a singles ward - and its not because I have a ring on my finger. Back to the family ward I went today - a little shell shock after 10 years of silent sacrement meetings. We shall see how many cute little grandmas try to set me up! Bring it on!

5. I weigh less now than I did when I was is 5th grade - I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. hahaha ITS A GREAT THING

6. I love Disneyland - that comes from the Taylors! My next trip has already been scheduled, flights booked etc. October 4th - 8th with Paul - Stay tuned to the blog:)

7. I love cheesecake - haven't found a piece from Cheesecake Factory that I don't enjoy.

8. I am still 29!
